Lexi’s List

Welcome to my author page!

Maybe you’re here because you found me on social media, or maybe someone told you about my books, but regardless of how you got here, if you’ve made it this far, chances are you’re a reader who found the idea of Christian fiction with a clean approach to gritty topics intriguing.

I strive to honor God with my writing, exposing darkness and shining light with every book. You’ll find both Young Adult (YA) titles here, aimed at ages 13-17, and New Adult (NA) titles, aimed at ages 18-25. While always free of spice (pornography), these vary in content levels and themes, and I do my best to include accurate trigger warnings and age ratings for your convenience.

If you want to know more about a specific book, you can click on its title and find a full page about it, or reach out directly via my Contact form.

The Books

Preserved by a Promise

A Standalone Title

Set sometime in the 1800s, Preserved by a Promise is a short, fun, not-quite-historically-accurate read about an unlikely friendship between two young men at a time when pioneers and Native Americans didn’t always get along.

Ben McCullough, a pioneer, and Kai, a Sioux brave, met in the woods when they were fifteen. Unsure how to explain their friendship to their families, the two kept it secret. But now war threatens to tear them apart.

Will the troubled times destroy them, or will a promise made when they parted ways drive them to risk everything for one another?

These Western Winds

Time Will Tell Series, Book 1

Kansas Territory, 1854

It was never supposed to be like this.

Eight years ago the Morrens left their life of wealth in Boston for a simpler life on the Western frontier. Now, their children are orphans, heirs to the Morren legacy, and stranded in the wild lands they loved . . . and someone will do anything to ensure they don’t make it back to Boston alive.

For Nathaniel and Carrie, the frontier town they’ve called home for so long now feels empty. Divided by their grief and waiting for their guardians to call them home to Boston, the two are oblivious to the danger that haunts their steps.

Enoch Slater has lived with the Morrens since his dad walked away seven years ago, leaving him bitter, but desperately trying to be strong. Now, with his life uprooted once more and his friends buried in their own grief, the burden of holding them all together falls heavily on his shoulders.

When foul play is uncovered in the Morren parents’ deaths, and danger comes closer than they could ever imagine, the three are forced to face their deepest fears.

Isolated in their sorrows, they must decide whether to turn to others for help or try to make it alone

. . . But is it already too late?

Who Is Lexi?

My reputation as a word nerd has been long established among those who know me.

Abigail? Who? Ohh, you mean The Walking Dictionary!

Yes, I was dubbed the walking dictionary. Being at least somewhat deserving of the title (in my own semi-humble opinion), I grabbed a synonym of “dictionary” from the thesaurus and became The Walking Lexicon:

i.e. Lexi T. Walker.

It makes a fine pen name, I think.
