Okay, time to introduce the other side of me. The fun side. That’s not very businesslike.

I’m a writer!

No, I don’t only write for other people. I am an author and I am currently writing more than 50 books!

Seriously.

Lexi’s List is the list of books I am writing. Some of them are barely solidified into definite concepts on my must-write list, others are progressing fairly rapidly toward publication, but they are all books-in-progress (as compared to the lists of ideas and notes that are not books yet).

I have a finished novella that is just waiting on editing before I publish it, and the first of many longer books is on its way this fall!

The Books

Preserved by a Promise

A Standalone Title

Set sometime in the 1800s, Preserved by a Promise is a short, fun, not-quite-historically-accurate read about an unlikely friendship between two young men at a time when pioneers and Native Americans didn’t always get along.

Ben McCullough, a pioneer, and Kai, a Sioux brave, met in the woods when they were fifteen. Unsure how to explain their friendship to their families, the two kept it secret. But now war threatens to tear them apart.

Will the troubled times destroy them, or will a promise made when they parted ways drive them to risk everything for one another?

As Iron Sharpens Iron

Time Will Tell Series, Book 1

Kansas Territory, 1854.

Originally from Boston, Nathaniel and Carrie Morren have spent the last eight years in Colorado watching their parents use their fortune to build a town from the ground up. After a tragic accident takes their parents’ lives and leaves them and their friend Enoch Slater alone and destitute, the three teens work together to carve out a livelihood from the ground up and show the townsfolk that not all riches are weighed in gold.

When a mysterious package arrives, placing them in the sights of dangerous outlaws, they are forced to rely on one another and to reach beyond their pride for help to uncover the secrets that their parents left behind.

Who Is Lexi?

My reputation as a word nerd has been long established among those who know me.

Abigail? Who? Ohh, you mean The Walking Dictionary!

Yes, I was dubbed the walking dictionary. Being at least somewhat deserving of the title (in my own semi-humble opinion), I grabbed a synonym of “dictionary” from the thesaurus and became The Walking Lexicon:

i.e. Lexi T. Walker.

It makes a fine pen name, I think.
